So, Summer's Not Here

Looks like it wasn't summer after all! After a big snow overnight, the temp is now 30 degrees. It seems to be stuck at 30 degrees.

So much for rubber sandals and straw hats, James.

But just look at these pictures from the magic camera of my daughter, Buffy.

This is such a phenomenal photograph! I'm amazed and mesmerized by this image.
Awe inspiring!

And, here's the love of my life: my grandson Reed having a time in the Alabama snow.

I love Buffy's photos. That Reed is a neat snowman.

All possums are hunkered down here. We got 2 inches of snow yesterday and it was an unbelievable 16 degrees this morning. ENOUGH! The camellias just barely start to bloom again and zap. What a winter. At least the little one seems to be enjoying it!

Last night our temperature was down to 18. But starting today, we expect a slight warming trend. All my possums have ice sickles on their toes! How in the world do you spell ice sickles? Is that right!

Icicles is one way. I think. But ice sickles is more graphic.

Ha! That's the only thing I've ever heard about Andrew Jackson that I liked!

But I love Stonewall Jackson. Should I ever croak, I want Stonewall Jackson's last words on my tombstone. "Let us cross over the river and rest beneath the trees."

Someone asked Andrew Jackson's black valet if he thought A.J. went to heaven. The man replied, "Well, if he wanted to go to heaven, I'd like to see somebody try to stop him."

Raluca - Thanks for the link to Heidi. She's too cute! I think she needs glasses!
